Solar Energy

The use of renewable and sustainable energy source protects our environment and atmosphere. The carbon dioxide in the atmosphere causes an increase in temperature around the world by blocking light coming from the sun to our world. This effect is what we all know as "The Greenhouse Effect".

Without this effect the average temperature would decrease to a minus 31 degrees. But as a result of increased industrialization today and the use of fossil fuels, this balance has collapsed; the emission of sunlight has been blocked causing global heating.

With this in mind we should pay attention to the following facts; World petroleum reserves are decreasing day by day. At the same time the world population is increasing continuously and this population needs more energy than ever before. If the current energy is not conserved or alternative energy sources developed, future generations will be faced with two unavoidable results; depletion of reserves completely and the clash for sharing existing reserves.

The difficulties and dangers faced during the supply, transfer and use of fossil fuels can be completely overcome by using solar energy. Besides safety it also provides us with a more comfortable life standard while offering an economical and sustainable energy source.

The installation of a solar system is designed to supply up to 70% of free hot water throughout the year. In the summer months it is estimated that at least 95% of hot water is free. Therefore the boiler will be switched off, which means less contamination of the atmosphere from the emission of flue gases.

In the winter months the solar energy will 'pre-heat' the incoming cold water, thus saving energy by not using the primary hot water supply from the boiler system as much as normal non-paneled system. A saving in energy of up to 25% can be achieved in these winter months depending on the geographical location within the United Kingdom, as well as usage of the system.

Solar energy is a 'free' source of energy available throughout the year. By taking advantage of the knowledge in technology of EC Solar you will be saving the use of fossil fuels which in turn helps the environment by creating less carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that may pollute the atmosphere. In comparison with other renewable sources, the solar system is the only system that does not require an energy source to produce hot water. Daylight is the supplier.
